Welcoming two new H2H Board members

March newsletter (9)

The H2H Network is excited to announce two new member representatives joining the H2H Board. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Karin Maasel, Executive Director at Data Friendly Space and Caroline Vuillemin, Director at Fondation Hirondelle.

Karin Maasel brings a wealth of experience working with humanitarian organizations such as Save the Children and Finn Church Aid in the Horn of Africa, the Pacific and the Middle East over the past 15 years. Prior to joining Data Friendly Space, she served as the Head of Africa Department at the Estonian Centre for International Development.

Karin said: "I am inspired by H2H Network’s commitment to uniting organizations that bring world-class technical expertise to humanitarian service providers. I believe both the H2H Fund and the network are instrumental in building the capacity and resilience of the humanitarian ecosystem.”

Caroline Vuillemin has a strong interest in building connections between humanitarian and media actors and brings a wealth of experience to the H2H Board. Prior to Fondation Hirondelle, she worked for IFES in election support. Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Political Studies in Lyon, France, and a degree in International Relations from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

Caroline shared: “Joining the H2H Board is exciting as it is at the heart of strategic orientations for reaffirming the social role of media to help populations during humanitarian crises and to contribute to building a resilient and more stable society. I hope to help the H2H Board work in the nexus approach supporting media projects in humanitarian contexts with a view on the long-term dividends of well-designed media work for social cohesion.”

We are confident that their perspectives and commitment will make a significant impact in leading us toward our vision of ensuring that people affected by crises and disasters are supported by effective, efficient, and accountable humanitarian action. We are excited to work together and look forward to Karin’s and Caroline’s contributions in shaping the H2H Network’s future.
