ACAPS: Pre-existing situation and impact of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

The H2H Network activated its fund in response to a growing humanitarian emergency in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh in November 2020. Two member agencies who specialize in assessments (Impact Initiatives/ REACH and ACAPS) have been collecting information on the needs of displaced people, aiming to inform and strengthen the wider humanitarian response.

A comprehensive review of the available primary and secondary data on areas in Azerbaijan affected by the recent Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has been published by ACAPS. The report provides an overview of the pre-existing situation in Azerbaijan and impact of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with focus on the most vulnerable groups within the affected population, as well as the geographical areas and sectors that should be prioritized in the crisis response.
