H2H at the Humanitarian Leadership Conference
The H2H Network joined the 2023 Humanitarian Leadership Conference, on the theme of "Re-engineering the global response system". Over three days, 350+ participants came together in Melbourne, Australia and online to investigate why the system is ‘stuck’, aiming to propose ambitious and pragmatic ways to reinvigorate change. Participants explored key questions: what needs to change, how, and who needs to drive the change; across four key areas: funding for crisis response, organisational models, mandates and motivations.
The H2H Network organized a panel discussion on the theme of innovation, exploring 4 different complex and model-changing innovations that have been supported by the BHA-funded H2H Innovation Accelerator, as well as the H2H Network itself. The panel featured Raphaël Bonnaud, Director of Relief Applications; Véronique de Geoffroy, Director General of Groupe URD; George Fenton, Co-founder and Chairman of the Humanitarian Logistics Association; Andrew Lamb, Chief Executive Officer, Massive Small Manufacturing; and Helen Kearney, Head of Network Development at the H2H Network. It was chaired by Hannah Reichardt, Director of Innovation Ecosystems.
