The GeOnG 2022 forum is coming up! Take your seat now to attend the 8th edition of the Humanitarian & Development Data Forum, which will take place for the first time in a hybrid format.

This year’s main theme is centered around: “Do no harm” in the era of environmental emergency: revisiting Information Management in the aid sector. During the three days of the forum, we will examine how aid actors can become part of the solution by revealing and responding to the environmental crisis and its impacts, and how we can concretely rethink our approach to information management to adapt to the environmental emergency.

The forum will take place at the Congress Center of Chambéry from Monday 24 October at 09:00 to Wednesday 26 October at 17:30, and online, in a simplified version, from Monday 24 October at 09:00 to Tuesday 25 October at 17:30.

Participants making the trip to Chambéry will be able to benefit from the full experience with access to all sessions, various networking moments, customized activities and other informal moments. Please note that all onsite ticket includes coffee breaks, three lunches and the dinner on Monday 24 October.

As in previous editions, the programme will include different types of sessions, such as roundtables and practical workshops of 1h30 and 2h30 to discover new topics, exchange with fellow counterparts and build new skills. The agenda also includes short format sessions such as Speed Geekings, Lightning Talks and a Fail Fest.

This year's keynote address will take the shape of a stand-up debate between our two keynote guests, Lars Peter Nissen, Director of ACAPS, and Benjamin Lang, an independent responsible digital technology expert. We will also host the “Digital Collage” workshop on the evening of the first day. The programme of this new edition is full of nice surprises, discover it here!

Unable to make the trip to Chambéry? This year, you can also sign up to attend online: we will live streamed 5 of the main sessions of the event, and you can also opt to take part in a few online workshops to build your skills further. More information about the dedicated online agenda here.

Representatives from 100+ organisations from the sector are expected to attend in October, so register now via this link to join them! Registration will close on October 14th at noon. We look forward to seeing you all at the event!

A side event for H2H Network members

During the GeOnG 2022, the H2H Network is inviting all its members to a dinner at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, 25th of October. This will be a social gathering providing H2H members who are attending the event with an opportunity to connect and informally discuss the topics of the GeOnG event.
