This strategy seeks to distil from consultation with the membership and other stakeholders, the central network functions1 that the H2H network aims to fulfil in the next three years, and the focus areas that will contribute to this. To further guide our action, we have developed a set of simple rules2 for each priority area of the strategy, to aid decision making in the face of strategic choices and changes in the external context. Finally, we have outlined what success will look like at the end of the period, to aid measurement and accountability.

This systematic review assessed the evidence of the Humanitarian to Humanitarian (H2H) organisation model’s effectiveness in action; its alignment with the broad strategic aims of the network; and, its contribution to humanitarian action globally. To conduct this review, Bodhi Global Analysis systematically reviewed the H2H body of evidence - in the form of documentation and key informant interviews (KIIs) - against the Review Questions (RQs). Assessment utilised a systematic quantitative document review (against RQs and internal/external criteria), and qualitative synthesis.

This case study explores how a second H2H Fund activation for the conflict in the Tigray region of Ethiopia contributed to an improved humanitarian response in Ethiopia and in Sudan. As part of a series of case studies, the study also contributes to a lessons learned process, aiming to strengthen the work of the H2H Network and ensure its continued relevance. The study was conducted in December 2021 by an independent consultant. A variety of sources including 8 key informant interviews, 4 project reports and 9 additional documents informed this case study.

This case study explores how the H2H Fund activation for the conflict in the Tigray region of Ethiopia contributed to an improved humanitarian response in Ethiopia and in Sudan. As part of a series of case studies, the study also contributes to a lessons learned process. This process aims to strengthen the H2H Network’s activities and ensure their continued relevance and appropriateness. The study was conducted in November 2021 for the H2H Network by an independent consultant. A variety of sources including 10 key informant interviews, 8 project reports, a collaboration call1 recording and 9 additional documents informed the study.

This case study explores how the H2H Network Fund activation for the May 2021 escalation of the conflict in the occupied Palestine territories (oPt) was able to rapidly fill gaps in the humanitarian response. As part of a series of case studies, the study also contributes to a lesson learned process. The series aims to strengthen the H2H Network’s activities and ensure their continued relevance and appropriateness. The study was conducted in January 2022 for the H2H Network by an independent consultant. A variety of sources including 10 key informant interviews, 9 project reports, the grant panel activation meeting recording (see box below, “The H2H Network Fund activation: How it works”) , and 16 additional documents informed the study.
